London's King's Cross is going through a period of major change
that will help to transform the area into a distinctive part of
a world city. Between 2000 and 2015 approximately £4 billion
of investment will help develop the area into the largest integrated
              transport hub within Europe.
 In light
of this, the Economic & Social
Research Council (ESRC), in collaboration with Camden
Primary Care Trust (PCT), are sponsoring an academic investigation
entitled ‘Agent-Based Modelling of Pedestrian Evacuation:
A Study of London’s King’s Cross Underground Station’.
This research is being conducted by Christian Castle at the Centre
for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA, an interdisciplinary
                     research centre within University
College London). This website serves to provide further
                      details about the study (Research
                      Outline, Methodology,
                       Results & Analysis, and News
& Events), as well as details about the King's Cross redevelopment
               in general.
