The King's Cross Partnership is a partnership between Islington and Camden Councils, London and Continental Railways, Railtrack, Nat West Bank, Exel (formally NFC plc), the Metropolitan Police, Camden & Ilsington Health Authority, and local residents. Formed in 1996, the partnership has £37.5 million core funding from Government Single Regeneration Budget to regenerate the King's Cross area over a seven year period. Its aim is to transform the King's Cross area into a vibrant and successful part of a world class city.

The two local planning authorities for King's Cross Central are the London Borough of Camden and the London Borough of Islington.
