Here is the table based on aggregating scientists in the countries where they work to 9 world regions which we consider geographically distinct. These are:

Eastern Seaboard and South East USA - including Central and Eastern Canada
West of Mississippi - including Western Canada and the Great Plains
Western Europe with the division along the German border
Asia Pacific - essentially China and Japan
Australasia - Australia and New Zealand
Middle East including Israel
Africa
India and Southeast Asia including Indonesia, the Philippines
Eastern Europe and Russia
