The uptake of 3d GIS...

• The uptake of GIS by the property market and the planning process is already well underway. However, the use is limited if the representations are limited to 2-d since it ignores a large extent of the urban environment (walls, views etc...)

   

• When 3d is an issue, the current solution is often to either create a physical balsa wood model, or to produce an 'artists impression'
