Three dimensional modelling for planning and architecture usage is normally in the realms of traditional CAD packages such as Microstation or AutoCad. Such packages are not of use if design is to be communicated at distance, they are stand alone packages not packages aimed at on-line distribution.

With this is mind the project 'Shared Architecture' was set up to explore how models of the built environment can be rapidly prototyped and distributed over the web.
