1998 - April 2001:
PhD student in the geography of cyberspace.
Information systems administrator for CASA.
1996 - 1998 :
Research fellow working on the
VENUE project in the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA). VENUE
stands for "Virtual ENvironments for Urban Environments".
The project is being supervised by Professor Michael Batty and funded by JISC.
1994 - 1996 :
Research assistant in the Department of City and Regional Planning, University
of Wales Cardiff, employed on a project to construct a nationwide, integrated
GIS database, of public service facilities in Wales. Analysis of the database
was also undertaken to examine substantive issues into the changing geographical
patterns of supply and demand for public services. Project supervisors were
Professor Huw Williams and Dr Chris Webster and it was funded by HEFCW.
1994 :
Research assistant in the Department of Geography, University of Nottingham,
working on a project investigating alternative spatial referencing methods for
use in household insurance underwriting. The project was supervised by Dr John
Doornkamp.
1993 - 94 :
Research assistant in the Department of Geography, University of Nottingham,
working on a project developing a predictive model of geographical "risks" for
use in household insurance underwriting. The project was supervised by Dr John
Doornkamp.
