You can trace the history of GIS in the following three ways. The quickest way of following the developments in GIS is to select a decade and see all the events that took place in the decade. To do this use the Quick Search options. In case you are interested in particular type(s) of event(s) then, you can create the timeline either by searching for predefined event types in the Advanced Search options or by specifying keywords (under development).
