SELF-SIMILARITY There is the assumption that the containment degree, as defined according to the notion of the Fuzzy Group, could be used to detect a measure for self-similarity. We could define a "self-similarity degree" pertained to a specific entity or architectural object: containment expresses this measure, in that it keeps track of the degree to which an entity is preserved unchangeable under different transformations. Self-similarity however is also a structural property of the plan. Each cell connected to the matrix where input and output are projected, contains information coming form different scales. This cross-communication among layers in different scales, equips each cell with a complex identity preserving its self-similarity. |
